There truly aren’t enough words to express how grateful I am for Countryside Veterinary Hospital and the incredible team there. My dog, JoJo, has been through more health challenges than I ever imagined—from pancreatitis and gastroenteritis to a CCL tear, iliopsoas degeneration, recurrent UTIs, and incontinence. Through every diagnosis, every setback, and every difficult decision, Dr. Latell and the entire team have been there for us with exceptional medical care, compassion, and patience. While Dr. Latell has primarily overseen JoJo’s care, I have had wonderful experiences with every veterinarian at the practice. It’s clear that everyone genuinely cares—not just about their patients, but about the people who love them. As an anxious pet owner, I’ve never felt dismissed or rushed. They always take the time to answer my questions, explain my options, and make sure I feel comfortable with every decision. The greatest compliment I can give them is this: I trust them enough to perform JoJo’s upcoming surgery. Handing over your best friend for surgery is one of the hardest things a pet owner can do, and I have complete confidence that she is in the best hands possible. Countryside has cared for both JoJo and me during some of the most stressful moments of our lives. They have treated us with kindness, empathy, and genuine dedication every step of the way. Thank you, Dr. Latell, and thank you to everyone at Countryside Veterinary Hospital. You have made an incredibly difficult journey so much easier, and I will always be grateful for the care you’ve given my best friend. I wouldn’t trust JoJo with anyone else.

TL/DR: long term client very disappointed with rude & unaccommodating staff Heartbroken to be leaving this review. I was with countryside for 6 years across 3 cats & 1 dog. I adored Dr Plaza when she was there before her retirement. Unfortunately I had a terrible experience recently, with a staff member that was completely unwilling to accommodate me. For context: I take my 80lb German Sheppard dog to daycare multiple days per week, because I work 12 hour shifts at a healthcare facility & do not want her neglected at home for that amount of time. THIS MORNING I received a text message from Countryside informing me that my dog’s bordetella vaccine would be expiring soon. Seeing as how I have had my dog into their office 4+ times in the last 12 months for vaccine appointments, I called to set one up ASAP so my dog wouldn’t have any issues with daycare. On the call, the receptionist informed me that my dog was also due for a checkup, which I said wonderful let’s book for that. She told me they were booked out for 4 weeks, so I asked if I can schedule that appointment now but get in just to do her shot so she can still go to daycare. The person I spoke with said no. I informed her that it would be my pleasure to book in the checkup but she NEEDS that vaccine before the expiry date so that she can receive the care she needs. The receptionist then got so rude & to every reasonable accommodation I tried to ask her for re-iterated that my dog would not be getting her vaccine under any circumstances before being seen & that she could not be seen until weeks after it would expire. I had half a mind to ask if she was going to watch my dog during those weeks since she won’t be able to go to daycare. I finally told her that I was so disappointed but she was giving me no other option but to find veterinary services elsewhere since it is not an option to delay her shot. The girl could not have cared less. It’s so tragic to have such an established relationship with a healthcare provider & be met with a complete unwillingness to accommodate, especially when their schedule conflicts are the reason for accommodations being needed.

All the veterinarians and techs are wonderful to work with! This is the third vet practice we have had our 2 cats at in Fort Collins and we have only had really good experiences from handling GI issues with our kitten to managing diabetes in our older cat. Thank you guys!
